We think reality is what we can explain from the limited instruments of our senses. But reality is, of course, far beyond that. We all have access to the infinite consciousness, but our understanding of it is hampered by our 5 senses, keeping us trapped on a limited plane. Anything we describe in science, we describe through the limited prism of our 5 senses. Our eyes can only see between infrared light and ultraviolet light- but there’s light bouncing around everywhere. Our ears can only hear a tiny decibel range- we can’t hear the noise of a dog whistle or any high-pitched frequency sounds. Without the use of advanced technology, we can’t see atoms and certainly can’t see the forces that hold atoms together. Isn’t it likely, then, that there are other vibrations, frequencies, energies, and consciousness moving through the universe that we, assisted with the latest modern technology, can’t even fathom yet? Perhaps, in the micro-quantum world, lie the answers to everything.
Objective consciousness, or the acknowledgement of all there IS, is an amorphous, expanding entity that we allow our own consciousness to be prohibited by. Our perception of all there IS, is prescribed by our 5 senses. And we live everyday in the realm of our subjective reality. But reality, in and of itself, is limitless. Space is infinite and time eternal. Through meditation, humans have the opportunity to expand their consciousness and live more fulfilling and happier lives. How? By being able to understand more of what IS in the world- more of what is happening right now; and gradually becoming increasingly perceptive in making decisions. After all, we, humans, are just a temporary blob of atoms endowed with conscious for the merest moment in infinite space. The time for us to be more aware is now.

Action:
I welcome you to try and meditate- just to get an understanding of how it makes you feel. You may achieve a feeling of connection with yourself, with a higher being or with the world. We have a limitless capacity for bliss through connection. But first we must define it within ourselves. Analyzing the semantics of words such as “Love” and “God”, through mythology and theology, the common theme is the notion of union. We just wanted to be connected to something higher- that could be to another person, it could be to God, or perhaps to nature. Give meditation a shot, you’ve got only to gain.
Here’s a great place to start. This guided meditation session focuses on expressing gratitude.
